I think I became a better person. I came to enjoy life and appreciate the small things. I lost my glasses, my phone doesn’t work, and I don’t care. I have people that love me, that care about me, that I can call my new family, and that’s the most beautiful thing ever.
Thanks to Stephani (AIESEC in Concordia’s VP of Marketing & Communications), I got to live this experience. It’s been the best thing I have ever done in my life. There isn’t a moment you regret, from taking the steps forward to being here to enjoying every single second, to meeting all of these people. It’s literally the best thing you can ever do in your life.
I spent 6 weeks in Djakarta teaching leadership to kids in high schools, going to a charity event for kids that have cancer. You come to realize that at the end of the day, the people make everything. Not every experience is related to my needs, not everything is material. Everything is what it is and you enjoy it for what you have and it’s the best thing ever.
