FAQs

  • AIESEC is a non for profit international organization that relies on the support and commitment of all our amazing volunteers. That being said, there are many opportunities in AIESEC for full time positions at the national and international level that can offer stipends and salaries in those roles.

  • Leadership can be developed in anyone, anywhere, meaning we take everyone with a passion for leadership and contributing to making an impact on our world. The only requirement is that all our volunteers need to be between 18-30 years old to fulfill our mission of developing leadership in young people across the world.

  • Never say never. At the local level, members should be living in the same region as their chapter (you wouldn’t want to take a 10h flight just to get to your team meetings), however, as you grow in AIESEC, you have the opportunity to apply for national and international roles in other entities!

  • After signing up on aiesec.ca you should recieve an email from the local chapter you choose with next steps. During recruitment season (typically January, April, and September), you will be prompted to fill out an application depending on the local chapter.

Once selected, you are now an official AIESECer and your leadership journey begins!

  • Not at all! We don’t believe leadership should have a price tag so we want to make sure our programs are available and accessible to as many young individuals as possible. That being said, you won’t want to miss out on a couple conferences and events throughout the year that may include delegate fees.

  • This depends on the role and time of the term as workload can fluctuate, but we aim to keep our members working 5-10h per week so they can have enough work that they’re still able to balance with school, work, or any other personal commitments
